Abstract:
During the Jamme_Gaia22 cruise, held from September 27th to October 20th, 2022, multi-beam data were collected using three different MBES systems: the Kongsberg EM2040-04 MKII (0.4° x 0.7°) for water depths between 50 and 150 meters, the Kongsberg EM712 (0.5° x 1°) for depths between 150 and 1000 meters, and the Kongsberg EM304 MKII (1° x 1°) for depths greater than 1000 meters. The raw data were processed using QPS Qimera v.2.5.0 software (Quality Positioning Services BV, Zeist, Netherlands), following standard procedures that included sound speed correction, removal of erroneous soundings, and correction of vertical offsets. GeoTIFF surfaces were generated at resolutions determined based on water depth and the footprint of each sonar system used as follows: 2m for depth 50-120m; 5m for depth 100-200m; 15m for depth 480-700m; 20m for depth 680-1000m; 30m for depth 980-1300m; 40m for depth 1280-2800m. The bathymetry grids are in GeoTIFF grid format.
