Abstract:
This data set was acquired in 2019 with Scripps Institution of Oceanography MK-III electromagnetic receivers deployed during the ElectroMagnetic Alaskan GeoPRISMS Experiment (EMAGE) project. The data files are in binary format and include raw electromagnetic time-series data that have not been processed. Channels are Hx,Hy,Ex,Ey. Matlab reading routines are available at http://marineemlab.ucsd.edu/Projects/lcplot/. The instruments and data format are described at https://marineemlab.ucsd.edu/instruments/. Supplementary logs are provided for processing the time-series into magnetotelluric responses and controlled-source electromagnetic responses. See Key & Constable (2021) [DOI: 0.1007/s11001-021-09427-z] for details on the Barracuda inverted long-baseline navigation system used to navigate the deep-tow transmitter. The data set was generated as part of the project called Marine EM Survey of Fluids in the Alaskan Megathrust. Funding was provided by NSF awards OCE-1654652 and OCE-1654619.
