Abstract:
These seafloor photographs were acquired with the USGS SEABOSS sled during the 2017-2018 field surveys studying benthic geology in eastern Long Island Sound. The SEABOSS sled was towed from R/V Connecticut. The photographs are in JPEG image format. The Long Island Sound Mapping and Research Collaborative (LISMaRC) is a joint effort of the University of Connecticut, the University of New Haven and the US Geological Survey. Funding provided by the Long Island Sound Seafloor Mapping Fund administered cooperatively by the EPA Long Island Sound Study and the Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP).
