Abstract:
These high-resolution bathymetry images were derived from Reson SeaBat 7125 multibeam sonar data collected in 2018 during Atlantis cruise AT40-02 to the Mid-Atlantic Ridge (chief scientist Mark Kurz). Five main areas - sites 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 - were surveyed. The files are in PNG image format and horizontal resolution is 1m. The data set was generated as part of the project called Coupling Mantle Volatiles, Eruption Dynamics, and Tectonics on the Mid-Atlantic Ridge. Funding was provided from NSF award OCE12-59218.
