Abstract:
These high-resolution bathymetry grids were derived from Reson SeaBat 7125 multibeam sonar data collected in 2016 during Atlantis cruise AT33-03 to the Mid-Atlantic Ridge (chief scientist Mark Kurz). Two main areas, area 1 and area 2, were surveyed. These bathymetry files are in GMT-compatible netCDF grid format. The grids generally have 1-meter horizontal resolution. Those with "equal" in the file name have been gridded with the latitude cell spacing equal to the longitude cell spacing. The data set was generated as part of the project called Coupling Mantle Volatiles, Eruption Dynamics, and Tectonics on the Mid-Atlantic Ridge. Funding was provided from NSF award OCE12-59218.
