Abstract:
Backscatter site survey data were acquired using a Kongsberg EM-122 system during R/V Marcus Langseth CREST cruise MGL1601 in 2016 (co-chief scientists Robert Reece and Gail Christeson). Data were processed using standard procedures with CARIS software (Quick et al., 2009) and gridded at an interval of ~100 m (0.001° in latitude and longitude). Data are presented in Christeson et al. (2020). The data files are in GMT-compatible netCDF grid format and were generated as part of projects called Evolution of South Atlantic Oceanic Crust: A Seismic Transect; and, CREST: Crustal Reflectivity Experiment Southern Transect. Funding was provided by NSF awards OCE15-37108 and OCE15-37169.
