Title:
Processed ship-based Multibeam Sonar Data acquired during the Maurice Ewing expedition EW9504 (1995)
Abstract:
This data set was acquired with a ship-based Atlas Hydrosweep DS Multibeam Sonar system during Maurice Ewing expedition EW9504 conducted in 1995 (Chief Scientist: Dr. Mitchell Lyle). These data files are of MBSystem Compatible format and include Acoustic Backscatter and Swath Bathymetry data and were processed by the GMRT Team using the open source MB-System multibeam sonar processing software as part of the GMRT Synthesis effort. These data are included in the GMRT Synthesis, version 3.0. Data were acquired as part of the project(s): Late Pleistocene Climate-Induced Fluctuations in the California Current: A Paleoceanographic Study and Ocean Drilling Project Site Survey, and funding was provided by NSF grant(s): OCE93-14512 and OCE93-15085.
