Abstract:
This data set was acquired with a ship-based Atlas Hydrosweep DS2 Multibeam Sonar system during Maurice Ewing expedition EW0410 conducted in 2004 (Chief Scientist: Dr. Gail Christeson). These data files are of MBSystem format and include Sidescan, Swath Bathymetry, and Acoustic Backscatter data and were processed by the GMRT Team using the open source MB-System multibeam sonar processing software as part of the GMRT Synthesis effort. These data are included in the GMRT Synthesis, version 2.4. Data were acquired as part of the project(s): Correlation of Seismic Structure with Observed Outcrop Geology: MCS/OBS Investigation of Hess Deep and Blanco Transform, and funding was provided by NSF grant(s): OCE01-37286.
