Abstract:
This data set was acquired with a ship-based Atlas Hydrosweep DS Multibeam Sonar system during Thomas G. Thompson expedition TN080 conducted in 1998 (Chief Scientist: Dr. John Delaney). These data files are of MBSystem format and include Sidescan, Swath Bathymetry, and Acoustic Backscatter data and were processed by the GMRT Team using the open source MB-System multibeam sonar processing software as part of the GMRT Synthesis effort. These data are included in the GMRT Synthesis, version 2.0. Data were acquired as part of the project(s): American Museum of Natural History Expeditions: Black Smokers.
