Abstract:

This data set was acquired with a ship-based Atlas Hydrosweep DS Multibeam Sonar system during Maurice Ewing expedition EW9903 conducted in 1999 (Chief Scientist: Dr. Alistair Harding). These data files are of MBSystem format and include Acoustic Backscatter, Swath Bathymetry, and Sidescan data and were processed by the GMRT Team using the open source MB-System multibeam sonar processing software as part of the GMRT Synthesis effort. These data are included in the GMRT Synthesis, version 1. Data were acquired as part of the project(s): Structure of Oceanic Crust Formed at 200 mm/yr. Spreading Rate, and funding was provided by NSF grant(s): OCE98-11948 and OCE98-12612.
