Abstract:
This data set was acquired with a ship-based Atlas Hydrosweep DS Multibeam Sonar system during Maurice Ewing expedition EW9505 conducted in 1995 (Chief Scientist: Dr. Andrew Fisher). These data files are of MBSystem format and include Acoustic Backscatter, Swath Bathymetry, and Sidescan data and were processed by the GMRT Team using the open source MB-System multibeam sonar processing software as part of the GMRT Synthesis effort. These data are included in the GMRT Synthesis, version 1. Data were acquired as part of the project(s): The Fine-Scale Hydrogeology & Geochemistry of the Areas of Active Venting in Middle Valley, a Sedimented Rift of the Northern Juan De Fuca Ridge, and funding was provided by NSF grant(s): OCE94-15762, OCE94-15869, OCE94-17011, and OCE95-96253.
