Title:
Single channel field seismic data at the Sumatran Trench, acquired by the M/V The Performer in 2005 as part of the Sumatra Earthquake and Tsunami Offshore Survey (SEATOS)
Abstract:
This 2005 cruise on board the MV The Performer collected SCS data as part of a mult-disciplinary effort (Sumatra Earthquake and Tsunami Offshore Survey) to obtain a a detailed survey of the seafloor in the vicinity of the epicenter of the Great Sumatra earthquake of December 26, 2004. The purpose was to collect data to improve models of seafloor displacement and the resulting tsunami wave.
