Title:
CHIRP Data from Grand Bay, Alabama, acquired during R/V Jenny survey JN0208 (2002)
Abstract:
Part of a study to explore incised valley fill from three Gulf of Mexico bays, specifically Mobile Bay, Galveston Bay, and Corpus Christi Bay, this R/V Jenny survey collected high-resolution CHIRP data in Weeks Bay, Alabama in 2002.?The goal was to use the data to identify flooding surfaces and help quantify coastal response to forcing mechanisms. This will help test the hypothesis that variations in the rate of coastal subsidence and river discharge were not the cause of the observed coastal backstepping events.
