Abstract:
These mask files contain the upper and lower bounds of ray coverage achieved for the tomographic velocity models produced by Kardell et al. (2019). They can be used in GMT to only plot the velocity values constrained by the inversion, while cutting out the lower, unconstrained part of the velocity model. The files contain two columns: the left column gives lateral distance along the velocity model in kilometers; the right column gives depth values, also in kilometers. The first block of values includes the lower bounds of ray coverage and the second block includes the upper bounds. The data set was generated as part of the CREST project: Crustal Reflectivity Experiment Southern Transect (chief scientists Bobby Reece and Gail Christeson). Funding was provided by NSF grants OCE15-37108 and OCE15-37169.
