Title:
Processed Gridded Near-Bottom AUV Sentry Bathymetric Sonar Data from the NE Lau Basin acquired during Falkor expedition FK171110 (2017)
Abstract:
This data set was acquired with a Reson SeaBat 7125 Multibeam Sonar on AUV Sentry during R/V Falkor expedition FK171110 conducted in 2017 (Chief Scientist: Dr. Kenneth Rubin, Investigators: Susan G. Merle, Dr. William Chadwick, Dr. Kenneth Rubin). These data files are bathymetric grids that were processed after data collection and exported from ArcGIS in ASCII format. Data were acquired as part of the project(s): Underwater Fire: Studying the submarine volcanoes of Tonga; Temporal/spatial scales of mantle wedge composition and processes investigated with young boninites and basalts from the unusually active NE Lau Basin. Ship time was provided by Schmidt Ocean Institute and additional funding was provided by NSF Award(s): OCE15-38121.
