Title:
Microstructure Data from the Brazil Basin acquired during R/V Seward Johnson expedition SJ9601 (1996)
Abstract:
This data set was acquired with a High Resolution Profiler (HRP) deployed in the Brazil Basin during R/V Seward Johnson expedition SJ9601 in 1996 (Investigator: Dr. John Toole). These data files are of NetCDF format and include Pressure, Velocity, and Location data (variables: pressure, u, v, latitude, longitude). Data were acquired as part of the project Abyssal Mixing Measurements for the Brazil Basin Tracer Release Experiment to explore the mixing dynamics above the jagged seafloor near the Mid-Atlantic Ridge. Funding was provided by NSF award: OCE94-15589.
