Abstract:
This data set was acquired with a Manipulator Sampler and GasTight Fluid Sampler on HOV Alvin during Atlantis expedition AT15-47 conducted in 2009 (Chief Scientist: Dr. James Holden). The data file is in Microsoft Excel format and includes Fluid Chemistry and Microbiology data that was processed after data collection. The data was acquired as part of the projects: Long-term monitoring of hydrothermal activity at Axial Volcano; Modeling Hyperthermophile Growth in Deep-Sea Hydrothermal Sulfide Deposits and Diffuse Fluids; Modeling Hyperthermophile Growth in Deep-Sea Hydrothermal Sulfide Deposits and Diffuse Fluids (II); NeMO 2009; and, Endeavour‐Axial Geochemistry and Ecology Research (EAGER) 2009. Funding was provided by NSF grants: OCE07-31947, and OCE07-32611. This data was cited by Ver Eecke et al., 2012.
