Title:
Ship-based Trackline Geophysical Data (MGD77) acquired during the Robert D. Conrad expedition RC3001 (1989)
Abstract:
This data set was acquired with a ship-based Magnetometer, Gravimeter, and SeaBeam Classic Multibeam Sonar system during Robert D. Conrad expedition RC3001 conducted in 1989 (Chief Scientist: Dr. Robert Detrick). These data files are of MGD77 format and include Gravity Field, Magnetic Field, and Singlebeam Bathymetry data that were processed after data collection. Data were acquired as part of the project(s): MCS Reconnaissance Survey of the MARK (Mid-Atlantic Ridge south of the Kane Fracture Zone) Rift valley in the vicinity of ODP Sites 648, 649, and 670 and Hydrothermal Circulation on Sediment-Starved Mid-Ocean Ridges, and funding was provided by NSF grant(s): OCE88-17332 and JSC 4-89.
