Abstract:
This data set was acquired with the towed Hawaii Mapping Research Group (HMRG) MR1 Sidescan Sonar during Melville expedition COOK07MV conducted in 2001 (Chief Scientist: Dr. Sherman Bloomer). These data files are of MBSystem-compatible format and include Sidescan and Phase Bathymetry data that have not been processed. Data were acquired as part of the project(s): Mantle Inputs to the Subduction Factory: Assessing Scales of Spatial Variability along and across the IBM Convergent Margin, and funding was provided by NSF grant(s): OCE00-01827, OCE00-01876, and OCE00-02715. This data was cited by Fryer et al., 2003.
