EW9602 Seismic Reflection/Refraction
Seismic:Reflection:MCS
Processed multichannel seismic data collected around the Austral Seamounts, South Pacific, acquired during the R/V Maurice Ewing survey EW9602 (1996)
This expedition to the Austral Seamounts, South Pacific, was a joint effort between MIT and LDEO. The purpose was to determine how the spacial and temporal emplacement of magmatic underplating relates to the volume and chemistry of the surface volcanism and the pressures, stresses, and temperatures in the crust. Funded by NSF grants OCE94-15930 and OCE94-17076.
