Ridge Multibeam Synthesis Data Portal

RidgeMBS provides access to shaded relief maps, bathymetry grids and multibeam bathymetry field data from the world's mid-ocean ridges. This effort was initiated in 1993 with the support of the National Science Foundation (NSF)-sponsored RIDGE and Ridge 2000 programs. RidgeMBS currently provides access to bathymetry from ~24,000 kilometers across mostly the axis of the mid-ocean ridge corresponding to almost half of the global system.

Use GeoMapApp to explore the global topography database, create and download custom maps and grids as well as multibeam ping files. With GeoMapApp you can also view and explore trackline gravity and magnetics data, geochemical data from PetDB, seismicity, and seismic reflection profiles.

Use Data Link to search for a cruise or data type of interest by keyword or geographic region.

Use Create Maps and Grids to generate a quick bathymetry map or grid for a region of interest.
