Installing GeoMapApp© on a Macintosh System
Minimum Requirements:
- Mac OS X "Tiger" version 10.4 or "Leopard" version 10.5. Note: "Panther" will not work.
- Sun Java Runtime Environment (JRE) or Java Development Kit (JDK) version 1.5 or higher is included in the above operating system packages. You may run Software Update from the Apple Menu to automatically install the latest version.
- 30 MB free disk space.
- 256 MB available RAM. (512 MB or higher is recommended for best performance.)
- An Internet connection, adband suggested, for access to data.
GeoMapApp is a Java application and it must be downloaded to your computer. Clicking on the AGREE button below downloads the file GeoMapApp.app to your computer. You may need to double-click on the GeoMapApp.zip icon to unzip the program.
This software is distributed for free and it contains no guarantees or warranties. The software was developed through contributions of NSF and Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory of Columbia University. None of the developers or supporters of GeoMapApp can be held responsible for problems that may occur from using this software.
