Just released: GeoMapApp now includes North Polar projection!

Virtual Ocean: integrates the GeoMapApp tool suite with WorldWind 3-D visualization.

GeoMapApp is a data exploration and visualization tool that is continually being expanded as part of the Marine Geoscience Data System at the Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory. It is a Java™ application that may be freely downloaded and will run on all platforms with a JRE (Windows, MacOSX, Solaris and Linux). Learn more about GeoMapApp by reading about GeoMapApp, the Help pages, and the Development History.

GeoMapApp provides direct access to the Global Multi-Resolution Topography (GMRT) compilation that includes high resolution (~100 m node spacing) topography from multibeam data for ocean areas and Shuttle Radar Topography Mission (SRTM) data over land.
